Winter can be hard for freelancers. If you’re not careful you could slip on ice and break your wrist, spend months freezing your butt off or end up crying over a massive heating bill. But there’s no need to worry about staying safe and warm this winter because I have some fail-proof ways to get through it without falling foul to frostbite or fractures.
You know when you can’t make a decision and you really wish there was a way to quickly come up with an answer so you can just move on with your life and do something else? Well, I’m delighted to tell you that there is. In fact, I’m the smug custodian of a spectacularly fail-proof method which I will happily share with you today… are you ready?
Today I’m going to share a MASSIVE blunder that I made with one of my main clients just so you can see that it isn’t so much the mistake that’s the problem, it’s how you respond and deal with that mistake that matters to the client. And hold on to your hats and hide behind your fingers, because this was a pretty big and rather embarrassing error!
Many people have told me that they thought they needed to get an office or have a ‘proper’ desk set up before they could be a freelancer, so I want to show you that this is complete and utter nonsense. Virtual Assistants can work from anywhere they like and you shouldn’t let the lack of an office prevent you from setting up your business.

On Wednesday 10th June 2009 I left my job to become a full-time freelancer. This is the story of how and why I became a Virtual Assistant, what I did before I went freelance, how I manage clients and what I’d do differently if I had to start again.
